In April 2017, GiGi New York launched in select Lord and Taylor locations nationwide. As GiGi’s lead designer, I conceived and created a custom brand book to aid sales staff in discussing GiGi products with shoppers. In preparation for the launch, I pitched my idea to the CEO, got approval, and worked with the sales director and handbag designer to meet the 2-week deadline. My design was also cost-effective because it utilized the company’s in-house book-binding capabilities (GiGi has an affiliated brand of leather-bound notebooks) to produce a chic offering that featured a faux-lizard-leather wrap and custom gold-foil stamping.
